PYD Mining Services was formed in May 2003 as a secondary support installation service to the Southern Coal Fields of NSW. The company was started from humble beginnings and has progressed to become one of the key suppliers to the Southern Coal Fields. PYD Mining Services has extensive experience in installing secondary support in longwall gate roads and extraction panels, longwall relocations, project management and in the supervision of large work groups. The company is focused on creating “a new standard” in contracted services in the coal mining industry and is constantly striving to improve and expand the services provided. The safety of the employees is paramount at PYD Mining Services and the safety performance to date is testament to this commitment. As part of the Mastermyne Group of companies PYD Mining Services has access to a large and modern fleet of equipment including secondary support drill rigs, underground loaders and transporters as well as extensive range of attachments and supplementary underground equipment.

PYD Mining Services current works include the project management and all facets of the installation of secondary support in the longwall tailgate and maingate, building and sealing ventilation control devices, reclamation and installation of pipes, reclamation and installation of HT cables, labour hire for CH4 drilling, labour hire for development panels and longwall relocations.
